The primary aim of the Employer Mentoring Scheme is to help students to make a successful transition from study to the world of work. As a mentor, your skills, experience and knowledge will support a mentee (student or graduate) to make decisions about his or her future career. You will be there to offer advice and guidance, to answer your mentee’s questions and to work with your mentee on specific tasks.

You will not be expected to know everything. With the help of our on-line training package and with the support and advice available from the Career Development Centre, you will be able to guide your mentee into seeking his or her own solutions.
