Career Development:

Through our on-line training package supported by voluntary workshops and networking events, you will develop and put into practice a skill that is highly regarded by employers. In doing so, you will polish your people management and relationship building skills

A New Perspective

A mentoring scheme can be a two-way process. The mentee may have new ideas and knowledge to share, and it is not uncommon for mentors to reassess their own jobs and careers as a result of their involvement with the scheme. As one mentor put it: “Go for it! No matter how long you have been in business and how good you think you are in your chosen career, you can always learn more.”
Enhancing Your Profile
Mentors appreciate the opportunities to network at our various events and the opportunity to promote themselves as Mentors to the University of Derby.

Job Satisfaction

As well as the satisfaction of helping others, previous mentors have reported an increased sense of job satisfaction.
